Speaking at the launch of the Free Primary Healthcare Programme in Dormaa West, the MP commended doctors, nurses and other health professionals for their dedication and sacrifice in providing quality healthcare despite the numerous challenges confronting the sector.

He acknowledged the difficult working conditions faced by health workers and assured them that, together with other stakeholders, measures would be taken to address some of the district’s pressing needs.

These include providing affordable accommodation for health personnel, improving the district’s poor road network and expanding telecommunications services in underserved communities around the district capital.

He appealed to traditional authorities, the Member of Parliament, the District Chief Executive and other stakeholders to engage landlords to help reduce rental costs for health workers.
