Fidelity Bank Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to transforming educational opportunities in underserved communities with the commissioning of a fully renovated six-unit classroom block for the Atampuurum B KG/Primary School in the Bolgatanga Municipality.
The project, undertaken under the Bank’s flagship Orange Impact Initiative, marks the 11th school to benefit since the program’s launch in 2022.
The school, which previously faced severe infrastructural challenges, including a leaking roof, unfinished walls, and a lack of proper furniture, has been completely revitalised into a safe and conducive learning environment.

The new facility includes a dedicated office, a staff common room, and a library, moving students from under the trees into fully-equipped classrooms.
The existing 11-unit washroom facilities were also refurbished, and this has significantly improved hygiene standards and contributed to a more dignified and conducive learning environment.
Speaking on behalf of Julian Opuni, Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Ghana, Issahaku Ibrahim, Branch Sales and Service Manager for Bolga Post, emphasised the significance of the project:.
“When we first visited Atampuurum in 2022, we saw young children learning under harsh conditions and teachers striving against the odds.
“Today, we are handing over not just a school building but a sanctuary for dreams, a place where curiosity and potential can truly flourish.
“This is the heart of our Orange Impact Initiative – ensuring that no child is denied the dignity of a proper education. We are proud to be Here for Your Journey.”
The commissioning ceremony drew massive attendance from community members, chiefs, elders, parents, and pupils, as well as officials from the Bolgatanga Municipal Directorate of Education.
In his address, Roland Atanga, MCE of Bolgatanga, praised Fidelity Bank for its commitment to inclusive development, noting that the school will have a lasting impact on the community.
The Headteacher, staff, and community elders expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Bank’s Managing Director, honouring the occasion with a citation and traditional gifts as a symbol of their appreciation.
The day was marked with vibrant musical performances by a local women’s group and enthusiastic displays by the school’s pupils, reflecting the community’s deep joy and thankfulness.

The Orange Impact Initiative is Fidelity Bank’s flagship educational corporate social responsibility initiative dedicated to upgrading infrastructure and access for marginalised schools across Ghana.
Since its inception in 2022, the initiative has benefitted ten schools nationwide, including Duose D/A Primary School, Mamprobi Ebenezer 4, Okogyeasuo MA Basic School, Fodome Kordzeto M/A Primary & JHS, Nyameyekrom M/A KG and Primary, Accra Royal JHS, AbbeyKorpe DA Basic School, Techiman Baptist Basic School, Pakyi Banko M/A Basic School, and the Tesano Cluster of Schools, which received a state-of-the-art e-library earlier this year.
With the commissioning of Atampuurum B KG/Primary School, Fidelity Bank has once again demonstrated that sustainable impact goes beyond banking-touching lives, empowering communities, and shaping Ghana’s future through education.
