Ghana’s 4×100m relay team narrowly missed out on a medal at the 2025 World Athletics Championships after placing fourth in the final.
The quartet of Ibrahim Fuseini, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu ran 37.79s in the heats to secure qualification but clocked 37.93s in the final, missing the podium by just 0.04s.
The USA stormed to gold in 37.29s, the world’s fastest time this year, with Canada taking silver in 37.55s and the Netherlands earning bronze with a national record of 37.81s.
In the women’s high jump, Rose Yeboah finished 15th after her unsuccessful attempt to clear 1.93m.
However, she made history by becoming the first Ghanaian in 20 years to reach a World Championships final in an individual event.
