Candidates preparing for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Akyem Asene community in the Asene Manso Akroso District of the Eastern Region have received encouragement and support ahead of the exams.
A local group, Asene Deserves Better, organised an orientation programme aimed at boosting the confidence of the candidates while also donating mathematical sets to each student.
Chairman of the group, Obrempong Akwasi Owusu—popularly known as “I.K Acheampong”—speakig in an interview, explains that the orientation was designed to ease anxiety and help candidates approach the exams with confidence and determination.
He also advised the students to avoid examination malpractice, including copying and bringing unauthorised materials into the exam hall, warning that such actions could jeopardise their future.
Parents were equally urged to ensure that their wards are well prepared and properly supported ahead of the examination period.
Founder of the Benevolence Boost Foundation, Richard Nana Asamoah, who donated the mathematical sets, together with former MP for Akyem Oda, Hon. Owusu Boateng, also encouraged the candidates to remain focused and confident as they sit for their exams.
Some of the candidates expressed appreciation to the Asene Deserves Better group for the support and pledged to work hard to achieve good results.
