Opponent Watch: Croatia Release Preliminary Squad for Ghana World Cup Clash

Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup group opponents, Croatia, have announced their preliminary squad for the upcoming tournament to be hosted across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The squad was unveiled on Monday by head coach Zlatko Dalić as Croatia begin preparations for the global competition.

The provisional team combines experienced internationals with emerging young talents as the former World Cup finalists aim to make another strong impression on the world stage.

Among the notable names included in the squad are veteran midfielder Luka Modrić, Manchester City’s Mateo Kovačić, defender Joško Gvardiol and forward Ivan Perišić.

Croatia have been drawn in Group L of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face Ghana, England and Panama in the opening round of the tournament.
