Prudential Bank Ltd has donated funds to the Nima District Police Command to support the maintenance and repair of several of its operational vehicles, as part of efforts to strengthen policing and improve service delivery in the area.
The gesture, which forms part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, is expected to boost the command’s mobility and enhance response times within Nima and surrounding communities.
Speaking at the presentation, Head of Security Coordination at Prudential Bank, Janet Akrofi-Ansah, said the support reflects the bank’s commitment to helping security agencies carry out their mandate effectively.
She stressed that maintaining law and order is a shared responsibility, noting that the work of the police is central to creating a safe environment for business and community development.
“We believe that a safe community is a prosperous one because economic growth and development can only thrive in a secure environment. Our police officers work tirelessly, often under challenging conditions, to protect lives and property,” she said.
Mrs Akrofi-Ansah added that the donation also serves as recognition of the dedication and sacrifices of police personnel serving in the community.
Receiving the support on behalf of the command, Superintendent Amina Madi expressed gratitude to Prudential Bank, describing the intervention as timely.
She said the assistance would go a long way in improving operational efficiency and strengthening the command’s ability to respond swiftly to incidents.
“We are very grateful to Prudential Bank for this support and for their confidence in the work of the Ghana Police Service. This comes at a crucial time as we work to improve our response times and overall service delivery,” she said.
Superintendent Madi added that the enhanced support would further strengthen the command’s operations as it continues to serve residents within its jurisdiction.
The brief ceremony brought together representatives of Prudential Bank and officers of the Ghana Police Service.
