X1 Energy Drink has officially signed a five-year partnership agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), becoming the official performance partner of the Black Stars.

The deal represents a major milestone in Ghanaian football, reflecting a shared focus on elite performance, grassroots development, and the long-term growth of the sport.

The partnership was unveiled at the GFA headquarters in Accra, where key stakeholders, including GFA executives and senior officials, were present.

Under the agreement, X1 Energy Drink will provide both financial support and performance-enhancing products aimed at improving player preparation, recovery, and overall team output.

He noted that the partnership comes at a crucial time as Ghana steps up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with X1 Energy Drink expected to play a supporting role in enhancing the national team’s competitive readiness.

Beyond the senior national team, the collaboration also extends to domestic football. X1 Energy Drink will serve as the Official Performance Partner of the Division One League Super Cup, reinforcing its presence in local competitions.

This aspect of the agreement reflects a deliberate investment in the grassroots and structural development of Ghana football, including clubs, players, and surrounding communities.

From the corporate side, Richard Zhang, Head of X1 Global at Hoshii International, described the partnership as a long-term, purpose-driven collaboration aimed at delivering sustained impact beyond branding.

As part of its wider impact plan, X1 Energy Drink will support grassroots football development through the construction and refurbishment of 10 football pitches nationwide. The brand will also distribute essential equipment, including kits, boots, and footballs, to support young players.

The initiative aligns with the company’s broader goal of nurturing talent at every stage of the football journey.

In a unique aspect of the partnership, Black Stars players Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu have been named not only as brand ambassadors but also as equity partners of X1 Energy Drink.
