Actor Yul Edochie has shared a reflective message about the challenges men often face in society, following a recent emotional revelation by media personality Roby Ekpo.

In his post, Edochie suggested that men are often expected to endure personal struggles in silence, stressing that public sympathy is rarely guaranteed.
“Society is harsh to men,” he wrote. “No matter how much you tell your story, nobody cares. Never seek pity. Never cry in public. Take your pain, learn from it, and use it as fuel to become stronger, wiser, and more successful.”

His comments come after Roby Ekpo opened up on The Honest Bunch podcast about the breakdown of his marriage. Ekpo revealed that he was married to his former wife, Mayowa Lambe, for 11 years before allegedly discovering that she had remarried in the United States through social media images.
He also recounted claims made about him during their separation, including allegations concerning his physical performance in the marriage. Ekpo said the accusations pushed him to undergo medical tests in an effort to clarify the claims.

According to him, complications in the relationship were further deepened by issues he raised about his ex-wife’s use of contraceptives during their marriage, despite concerns she had expressed.
The interview has since sparked conversations online about relationships, emotional resilience, and how personal struggles—particularly those involving men—are handled in public discourse.
