A truck driver escaped unharmed after the vehicle he was driving caught fire while in motion at Wassa Akropong.
A video of the incident, which has been widely shared on social media, shows smoke billowing from the rear of the truck moments before it is engulfed in flames.
As the fire intensifies, parts of the vehicle appear to break apart, while bystanders watch helplessly as the blaze rapidly consumes the rear section of the truck.
According to a caption accompanying the footage, which was first shared by an X (formerly Twitter) user on June 30, the driver managed to escape safely before the fire destroyed the vehicle.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and neither the Ghana National Fire Service nor the Ghana Police Service had issued an official statement on the incident at the time of publication.
