Tieme Music Artists Secure Multiple Nominations at 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards

Tieme Music artists have earned multiple nominations at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, as the industry enters its official voting season to recognise outstanding performances, songs, and artistes from the past year.

In a statement, the record label expressed pride in the recognition of its artistes, highlighting the achievements of Beeztrap KOTM, Kwesi Amewuga, and Gonaboy across several major categories.

Beeztrap KOTM, who won Best New Artiste at the 2025 edition of the awards, picked up two nominations this year for his feature on Medikal’s hit track “Shoulder”, which also features Shatta Wale. The song has been nominated for Best Hiplife Song and Most Popular Song of the Year, reflecting its strong reception across the country.

Kwesi Amewuga also secured a nomination in the Best Hiplife Song category for his record “Badness”. The song is noted for blending early 2000s hiplife influences with a modern sound, earning praise for its nostalgic yet contemporary appeal.

Gonaboy enjoyed a standout year, landing two major nominations. His track “Same Timbs” is up for Best Hip-Hop Song, while he has also been shortlisted for Best New Artiste. His growing profile has been further boosted by his inclusion in Apple Music’s “Africa Rising: Class of 2026.”

Tieme Music said the nominations reflect its ongoing commitment to developing talent and helping African artistes reach wider global audiences.

“These milestones are more than industry recognition; they are moments that inspire us to keep pushing West African excellence onto the global stage,” the label said.

With voting now officially open, attention has turned to fans and industry stakeholders whose votes will determine the winners at what is widely regarded as Ghana’s biggest night in music.
