The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in the Accra West Region says a power outage affecting several communities has been caused by a fault on a transformer serving the area.
In a statement issued on Thursday, April 16, the power distributor explained that the disruption is the result of a technical fault that has temporarily interrupted electricity supply to several locations.
The affected communities include Stadium Road, Odi Ahinkae, Amasaman Hong Kong, Abease, ICGC, Shalom Temple, Papaase Soldier Land, Treba High Tension, parts of Hearts Park, and nearby areas.
ECG said engineers have been deployed to the affected locations and are working to identify and fix the fault to restore power as quickly as possible.

The company has assured customers that every effort is being made to minimise downtime and prevent a prolonged disruption to supply.
The outage has affected households, businesses, and institutions in the impacted communities, with residents expressing concern over the inconvenience, especially during peak hours.
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has apologised for the disruption and appealed for patience as repair works continue.
It reiterated its commitment to ensuring a stable electricity supply and improving service delivery across all operational areas.
