A tragic road accident at Wasa Japa in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region has claimed the lives of two people, with another person left seriously injured.
The incident involved a tricycle, popularly known as Pragya, with registration number A-25-AE 1143, which collided with a Hyundai cargo truck.
The deceased have been identified as Ibrahim Yahaya and Baafi Hilda. Their bodies have since been deposited at the Wasa Akropong Government Hospital morgue.
The tricycle operator, Sampson Nkrumah, sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has launched investigations to determine the cause of the crash.
