Nana Okosa Barima Kwasama Awere II, the Akwamuhene of the Twifo Traditional Area and Chief of Twifo Bepobeng in the Twifo Atti Morkwa District, has raised concerns over poor network connectivity and deteriorating road conditions in the community.

According to the chief, although the previous government provided equipment for road construction works in the area, the contractor handling the project abandoned the site before completion.
He has therefore appealed to John Dramani Mahama to intervene and ensure the contractor returns to complete the road and telecommunications projects linking Twifo Praso to Bepobeng through Ayase and Dunkwa-On-Offin.

Residents of Twifo Bepobeng, speaking in an interview, also expressed frustration over unreliable network services and the poor state of roads, saying the situation continues to affect transportation, communication and daily business activities.

Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for Twifo Atti Morkwa, Isaac Yawson, confirmed that the area’s Member of Parliament, Theophilus Tetteh Vondee, is working to address the network challenges.
According to the DCE, at least eight communities in the district are expected to benefit from improved network connectivity this year.

Mr Yawson also appealed to Ibrahim Mahamah, Chief Executive Officer of Planning and Engineering, to consider constructing the proposed concrete road through a more direct route from Wassa Darmang to Wassa Attieku via Twifo Praso to Cape Coast instead of diverting through Daboase Junction.

He said the suggested route would provide a more efficient transportation corridor for commuters and businesses.
