Pastor Daniel Kyeremeh, Techiman Branch Pastor of Harvester Evangelistic Ministry at Pomaakrom, has called on Christians and the general public to honour and respect fathers, describing them as God’s representatives within the family and society.
Speaking to journalists after a Sunday church service held as part of this year’s Father’s Day celebrations, Pastor Kyeremeh highlighted the invaluable role fathers play in nurturing families, instilling discipline and providing guidance for their children.
He urged children and all believers to express love, appreciation and respect for their parents, particularly fathers, in recognition of the sacrifices they make to support and protect their families.
Referencing Ephesians 6:1, which states, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right,” the pastor encouraged Christians to remain committed to biblical teachings on obedience, respect and family values.
According to him, honouring fathers helps strengthen family relationships, promotes responsible upbringing and contributes to the development of a peaceful and God-fearing society.
Pastor Kyeremeh therefore encouraged families to use the occasion of Father’s Day to celebrate and appreciate fathers for their dedication, hard work and unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of their loved ones.
