Next Level Energy Drink Partners Ghana Armwrestling Ahead of African Championship

The Ghana Armwrestling Federation has secured a new sponsorship deal with Next Level Energy Drink ahead of the 15th African Armwrestling Championship, scheduled to take place at the Borteyman Sports Complex on Friday, May 1, 2026.

The partnership was officially announced during a ceremony held at the Central Hotel in Ridge on Wednesday, April 29, where officials highlighted the importance of the sponsorship to the continued growth of armwrestling in Ghana.

Under the agreement, the federation will receive a cash sponsorship package worth $45,000, along with product support from Next Level Energy Drink. The deal is expected to provide a significant boost to preparations and organisation for the continental championship.

President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation, Osei Asibey, welcomed the partnership and described it as a major step forward for the sport in the country.

“I’m happy to announce that we’re here to inform you about our relationship with the newest partner of the sport,” he said.

“Because we want to get to the next level, we had no choice but to partner with Next Level Energy Drink,” he added.

The 15th African Armwrestling Championship is expected to attract top athletes from across the continent, with Ghana continuing to position itself as one of Africa’s emerging centres for the sport.

The Borteyman Sports Complex, which has hosted several major sporting events in recent years, will host the tournament as organisers look to stage a successful and highly competitive championship.
