A 61-year-old traditional healer has been found unconscious with multiple injuries in a bush at Assin Kushia in the Assin North District of the Central Region after a three-day search.
The victim, identified as Christian Etse Dosey, who is also a palm wine tapper, was discovered on Friday, June 12, 2026, showing signs of a suspected violent attack.

According to reports, Mr. Dosey went missing on Wednesday, June 10, after informing his family that he was heading out to deliver herbal medicine to a client receiving treatment.
When he failed to return home, concern grew among his relatives and residents, prompting a community-led search.
Traditional authorities and residents joined the search effort, organising search parties and performing customary rites, including drumming, in hopes of locating him.

After three days, he was found lying unconscious in a bush with multiple injuries, including wounds to the neck, a fractured arm, and other suspected assault-related injuries.
He was first taken to a clinic at Assin Kushia before being referred to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu, where he is currently receiving treatment.
The incident has been reported to the Assin Praso District Police Command, which has opened investigations into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Speaking, the victim’s brother, Daniel Dosey, said the family is deeply distressed and suspects foul play, calling for a thorough investigation.

Meanwhile, residents and relatives have urged the police to expedite investigations and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
